UN Global Compact Network Kenya is a Country Network of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 25,000 participating companies working to accelerate and scale the collective impact of businesses in Kenya and Uganda by upholding the Ten Principles on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption and delivering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through accountable companies and ecosystems that enable change. With close to 300+ signatories in Kenya and Uganda, UN Global Compact Network Kenya is currently the largest of the UN Global Compact Country Networks in Africa and the Middle East and has over 800 other businesses signed up to the Code of Ethics for Business in Kenya.
KEPSA has consistently demonstrated its dedication to embedding ethical business conduct and sustainability within Kenya's private sector. As a key partner in the re-launch of the Code of Ethics for Business in Kenya alongside the Global Compact Network Kenya and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), KEPSA actively champions the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, covering human rights, labour standards, environment, and anti-corruption. This partnership, which has seen the Code grow to over 840 signatories, highlights KEPSA's influence in fostering a cleaner and more responsible business environment.
KEPSA’s involvement with the UN Global Compact Network Kenya goes back to the Network's re-launch in 2007, where KEPSA was a crucial partner, signalling a greater private sector ownership of the sustainability agenda. Since then, KEPSA has been an active participant and signatory, consistently reaffirming its support for the Ten Principles.
