The Community Empowerment to Access and Demand Justice Project (CEADJ) partners in collaboration with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) operating in Kibera, Mukuru and Korogocho held a multi-stakeholder forum on 20th May 2013 at the Cool Breeze Garden Hotel in Nairobi. The objective of the forum was to take stock of the achievements of the project for the last two years it has been running as well as identify areas of partnerships and linkages.
During the event, the project partners gave presentations on the milestones achieved since the project was started in 2010.The forum was used to critically assess the achievements of the project against the set objectives at inception. The forum was also used to evaluate the programme areas of the various organizations represented by the participants in the meeting. This would enable the partners identify areas of unity and map possible partnerships with these organizations. As the project approaches completion in August 2013 it was also necessary to identify areas of future partnership and linkages in the scaling up of the project or in new projects in these areas.
The multi-stakeholder meetings in this project are regularly used to brainstorm on ideas and to get feedback from stakeholders and beneficiaries of the project to ensure that the project is in focus and benefits the intended beneficiaries while leveraging on the strengths of the various stakeholders.
In attendance were the Oxfam project partners i.e. KEPSA, umande Trust and Oxfam; and Civil Society Organizations operating in Kibera, Mukuru and Korogocho.
