Participating organisations in KEPSA are either sectoral federations or multi-sectoral organisations.

MSF is acronym for Ministerial Stakeholder Forum. They are organs created in each ministry to provide partnership between sectors/sub sectors and the ministry. The MSF’s operate under a steering committee comprising members from the government and private sector.

  • Opening doors of government to members
  • Accessibility to regular and up to date information in private sector development and trade issues.
  • Representation in key national policy making organs
  • Opportunity to establish networks with local, regional and international organisations.
While the government recognises that it has to provide an enabling environment for the private sector to engage in, the following challenges still persist: -
  • Insecurity
  • HIV/AIDS pandemic
  • Poor governance
  • Limited access to credit
  • Over regulation and unfair competition
  • Poor and costly physical infrastructure
  • High taxation levels and multiplicity of taxes
  • High interest rates
  • Environmental degradation

KEPSA seeks to bring together the private sector representative organisations to enable them to speak with one voice so as to influence public policy formulation.

No. KEPSA is a private sector driven, free and independent membership organisation that is not subject to control or interference by the government. It is registered as a company limited by guarantee.

KEPSA through constructive dialogue engages the government in the formulation and implementation of pro-poor growth policies that maximize Kenya’s competitiveness and create wealth.
